We are seeking an experienced, independent, and dependable Service Technician in Phoenix, AZ on behalf of a MAJOR Power Gen company with the potential to earn $26 to $45 per hour, depending on your level of experience.

What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of four years’ experience in commercial or industrial settings, working with generators, engines, switchgear, and controllers. Experience with Volvo engines is a bonus.
- Ability to travel overnight up to 20% of the time.
- Must successfully pass a DOT physical, background check, and drug screening.
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools and managing emails/calendars in Outlook.
- OEM training, certifications, and/or EGSA certification are highly desirable.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of generator sets.
- Troubleshoot and repair engines, including those from Volvo, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, and MTU.
- Diagnose, repair, and program switchgear systems.
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, and start-up load bank tests on equipment.
- Provide outstanding customer service and support.
- Accurately and promptly complete all job-related documentation.
- Be available for on-call services when needed.
Physical Demands of the Role
- 85% of your time will involve hands-on work at customer sites, with the remaining 15% spent on administrative and technical support tasks.
- Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects weighing 20-75 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, and occasional sitting; along with climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective glasses, gloves, and footwear.
- Must have vision capabilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Ability to read screens, documents, and equipment is essential.
- Ability to drive a heavy-duty truck for up to 10 consecutive hours.
- May require working long, unpredictable hours.
