Bemana is searching for a Co-Gen Technician to join a rapidly growing team near Sacramento, CA.
The Co-Gen Technician is responsible for supporting the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of the Co-Gen Casino plant to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role involves servicing reciprocating industrial gas and diesel engines, monitoring plant systems, and ensuring a seamless supply of power, hot water, and chilled water to end users.
Compensation/Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on reciprocating industrial gas & diesel engines and ancillary equipment.
- Monitor and balance plant systems to maintain continuous power and thermal supply.
- Maximize equipment uptime through predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with director for assignments, technical support, and operational updates.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience and factory certification from a major industrial manufacturer.
- Factory-trained and certified technician by a major reciprocating engine manufacturer (GE Jenbacher, Caterpillar, Waukesha, Wartsila, etc.) preferred.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Basic understanding of electrical distribution and control systems.
- Experience with co-generation and heat-power systems.
- Ability to maintain and repair chillers, welding, and pipefitting experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with medium/high voltage systems.
- Experience using industrial software like Wonderware HMI and MMS.
- Ability to service and maintain emission control systems (SCR catalyst).
Exposure to outdoor elements, high noise levels, hazardous electrical, thermal, and chemical conditions. Potential exposure to powerful electromagnetic fields, which may affect pacemakers.
