We are recruiting for a leading generator service provider specializing in critical telecom systems that is looking for a District Manager. As District Manager, you will oversee operations, manage a team and ensure services meet the highest standards. The District Manager is responsible for overseeing service operations within the Eastern PA, NJ and DE territory, ensuring exceptional performance in generator maintenance and repair services. You will provide technical support, monitor and manage KPIs, handle P&L responsibilities, and ensure that all operational goals are met. This role combines remote work, office management, and occasional field visits, providing a dynamic and flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to service technicians, troubleshooting issues related to generator systems and ensuring timely and accurate problem resolution.
- Lead and manage a team of service technicians and administrative staff, providing guidance, training and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Review and approve technician time sheets, ensuring accurate documentation of work hours, overtime and job completions.
- Track and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service delivery, technician productivity, customer satisfaction and equipment performance.
- Oversee the territory’s financial performance, including managing budgets, controlling expenses and maximizing profitability.
- Occasionally visit job sites for site checks, quality assurance, client meetings and to assist in technical problem-solving.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the telecommunications industry, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any service-related concerns.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of safety across the territory.
- Identify areas for operational improvement, implement best practices, and ensure that service teams are equipped with the latest tools and technologies.
Qualifications
- Management experience in the power generation industry, with a preferably within the telecommunications industry.
- Strong technical understanding of generator systems and their maintenance.
- Proven experience in managing KPIs, P&L statements and operational performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a hybrid work schedule.
- Must live in within or willing to relocate to territory (Eastern PA, NJ, DE).
- Valid driver’s license (work truck provided).
