Bemana is recruiting an experienced Generator Technician to join a rapidly growing power generation company in the WA/OR territory.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for servicing, repairing, modifying and diagnosing standby power generators up to 2MW
- Performing failure analysis, emergency field service and/or repairs for customers
- Conducting start-ups, preventative maintenance services and load bank testing
- Maintaining and repairing automatic transfer switches, both regular and bypass units
- Working on a variety of commercial/industrial customer sites (hospitals, nursing homes, office buildings, fire stations, correctional facilities, events, etc.)
- Operate, drive and maintain company service truck and parts inventory on truck
- Check/repair all supporting systems such as fuel, cooling and electrical systems
- Clean, check, recondition and determine the reusability of used parts
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience working on standby generators and related equipment up to 2MW
- Experience conducting a load bank test and performing preventative maintenance
- Natural gas and/or diesel engine knowledge
- ATS and switchgear experience preferred
- PLC engine and generator controllers experience
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Self-starter and ability to work independently in the field
- Successfully able to obtain certifications
